RIB CAGE PAIN
Rib pain is a kind f pain felt in the rib area or chest wall. It may be sharp, dull or achy. Rib pain can be caused by a variety of things ranging from pulled muscles to a rib fracture. If the rib pain is caused by a minor injury such as a pulled muscle and the pain is not very significant, an over-the-counter pain reliever such as acetaminophen can be taken to relieve the pain, refrain from activities that exacerbate the pain for a week or two to allow the inflammation to resolve can also be remedy. If the cause of the rib pain is bone cancer, the treatment options will be based on the type of cancer and its origin and may also require surgery.
